Biography

  • 2006 to present: Lecturer, Department of Biochemistry, NUI Galway. BSc Biotechnology programme director since 2009.
  • 1999-2006: Postdoc with Dr Tom Owen-Hughes, Division of Gene Regulation and Expression, School of Life Sciences, University of Dundee, Scotland

Research Interests

Dynamic structure and function of nucleosomes, the basic building blocks of chromosomes. Mechanism of ATP-dependent chromatin remodelling enzymes. Biochemical techniques for probing protein-DNA interactions. Bioinformatic analysis of chromatin components. Protein stucture/function.
