Biography

I have extensive nursing experience both internationally and nationally and am currently Programme Director on the Masters/Post Graduate Diploma in Health Sciences (Gerontology)/Lecturer at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, National University of Ireland, Galway since 2002.

Research Interests

My research interests are Ageing Research and Gerontology, with particular interest in health and well-being, place, belonging and connectedness.
I have completed my PhD in Sociology at the University of Limerick. Titled:  Social Change in Rural Ireland: A Sociological Study of Ageing, Place, and Masculinity among Single Male Farmers.
