Biography

Dr. Sinéad Mitchell is a lecturer in Engineering at the College of Engineering and Informatics of NUI Galway. She teaches a wide range of subjects for undergraduate and post graduate level. She draws on her rich background working with industry as a  business consultant and researcher in sustainable engineering with a background in healthcare manufacturing and social enterprise development. She has participated in a number of EU funded projects, working with many different educational institutions and companies across Europe. Principal research interests include sustainability and eco-innovation, particularly in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Other research interests include corporate social responsibility, sustainable procurement, waste management, life cycle assessment, product service systems/circular economy.
